Burkina Faso Missions

August, 2011 ~ Jerry and Jan Swanson

Greetings to Everyone,

I pray that this email finds you all Healthy and Happy in the Lord!!!

We are doing well-thanks.  It is another message to let you all know that we are going back to Burkina Faso, to build some more roofs on churches and to teach in the Bible School .  Even  though my Parkinson`s Disease has not gotten better, it has not seemed to get worse.  Praise the Lord.

So, I am going.   I need your prayers to be able to make the long journey there and to be able to function while I am there.

We have a good team going this time, Shay, our son, (who is a missionary) is coming and Jon Severson, a good friend. Then we have Jeanne Moir Payne and her husband Bryan Payne as first-timers along with Martha Smith
coming again to help with the logistics and the teaching of the Wordless Book and we will have another pastor coming with us too-Ian from Eugene- who seems to have gotten a real heart for the Burkinabe.

That is it, we hope that you will all remember to keep us in your prayers.  That is what we have always needed to have before we go:  people praying for us. We know that the ones who are coming to Burkina are wanting your prayers too.  So, we will also keep you in our prayers, knowing that the Lord is good
and He hears us and answers our prayers.

If you want to give to the putting on of roofs then you can give to TFAB (The Fellowship at Bend)
P.O. Box 9811, Bend , Oregon 97708.
Make sure that you mark your check Jerry Swanson - Africa Roofs

Thanks a lot for your gifts and your giving to this ministry.  You will know that your gifts are going directly to the
glory of Jesus and the encouraging and spreading of the gospel.  Many have been waiting and praying and fasting for years to have roofs put on their church buildings. Then we come along and give them a roof-what a big blessing and a great witness,

Much Love in Jesus,

Jerry and Jan Swanson
